Default Some Assassin advice if not a problem

First of all, I want to say that I'm new to this wonderful game.
Started playing it 1 week ago, and gosh... is this something!

Anyways, I'm playing an Assassin. I love to play solo (PvE), and I was wondering if you guys can give me some useful advices. I'm dying very often, and i feel like I messed up all my skills. Is there anywhere I can find some decent build guides? I tried PvXwiki, but dear god, that is all messed up for me. I can't even understand anything and I don't know where to start...

By the way I'm not one of those achievement grinders (for GW2). I just want to enjoy this game and learn some interesting builds you guys are using (if it's not top secret ofc hehe)

Best regards and happy holidays!

Luka, welcome to GW. Assassin, my first big tip is:

Get a longbow or flatbow and put it in weapons slot 4. This is not for damage, you do not want a Ranger secondary. Use it for pulling and also for starting combat. Let that hench warrior run in and take the heat. What he is for. You stay back chunking tiny arrows until it looks like a good time to pick your target and go daggers. Or until something is trying to kill your healer and it is time for it to die. You are not a tank and not the first one to charge in. Assassins strike from the sidelines and pick their time and target. You don't start fights but you sure can finish 'em.

Also, double clicking on a party member will make you run to them. It is worth carrying along a hench archer just for that. Or if the healer health bar begins to drop, double click and run there because that is where you are needed most.

I would hope that others have some good level up build tips. Been too long since I passed that way.

Your build shown good unless something strips your AP which can happen.

I like something like Jagged Strike to Fox Fangs to Death Blossom. All of these have a 5 second recharge and you can just pour on the henry non stop. A great elite is Flashing Blades. A bit tricky to get but it works really well. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Flashing_Blades
